NYSCF Summer Internship Program

A ten-week summer internship for undergraduate students to learn, collaborate and contribute to cutting-edge stem cell research.

About the Program

The New York Stem Cell Foundation (NYSCF) Summer Internship Program through JAX offers motivated undergraduates the opportunity to immerse themselves in scientific discovery at a leading nonprofit biomedical research organization. You’ll learn how stem cell biology advances our understanding of human disease and discover how biotechnology and research intersect to improve human health.

Build Skills to Thrive in Science

Over the 10-week internship, you will:

  • Develop valuable laboratory and data analysis skills essential for scientific careers.
  • Tackle complex research questions with creativity and resilience.
  • Learn to share your findings with a variety of audiences.
  • Build confidence as a scientist and strengthen your ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Learn and Collaborate in a Supportive Environment

During this immersive experience, you’ll work alongside peers and mentors in a close-knit research community that centers on collaboration, growth and discovery.

Interns will work closely with NYSCF researchers who integrate cutting-edge biomedical technologies with studies of human disease. These experts will guide you through real-world projects and share insights into how innovation drives progress in stem cell science.

Prospective interns are matched with mentors based on available projects and relevant experience.
